Our first walk! The journey has begun.

I think the scenery to begin with took us by surprise a little. Walking out onto the coast path for the first time was quite something! Us Three Halves have all lived in Cardiff for quite some time, and had never been here before. Scenery - 11/10 recommended.
The walk itself was gentle and flat pretty much all the way from Cardiff (Parc Tredelerch) to the Transporter Bridge in Newport. We were of course lucky to have the sunshine which made for an easy day of walking. Plenty of wildlife to see (and to keep Luca entertained!)
The scenery became more industrial on the approach to Newport. All of us felt a little like the end of the walk, through housing estates, back alleys and side-streets in Newport, let today's adventure down a bit. We did once attempt to be clever and take a route that avoided A roads. We met barbed wire and had to turn back. Not getting lost, per se, more a sort of "detour". Nonetheless, we are proud to have started, and there were some lovely sights. And of course we made it to the transport bridge, although we might have had a moment of doubt finding our way back to the car! Luca the doggo had a wonderful time and exhausted herself.
